Description
Opening of the first exhibition of the 2025/2026 season! The unique setting of Hangar Teatri's Sala di Pietra will host artist Gabriele Bonato, who will open the new exhibition cycle with his fascinating show blu_Code.
In this unique display of handwriting that highlights pen hatching, just one of the many techniques mastered by the artist, Gabriele Bonato combines a personal and recognizable style of exquisite realism with visionary compositions that are nevertheless cohesive and compact in their readability.
These poetic images engage powerfully with the contemporary human condition, evoking scenarios of social conflict, disfigured and aggressive nature, abuses of power, and more; dreamlike and surreal reflections that are simultaneously clear and vivid representations of what we allow to pass before our eyes every day, often inert in their passive observation, saturated with images and doubts about what is, and what cannot be, true.
Bonato's restless worlds thus generate a complex and ever-changing (hyper)reality, even more perceptible than the hypothetical "true" reproduced by the media.
We are pleasantly compelled to observe, or rather, to silently contemplate, far beneath the surface scratched in blue pen on paper, submerged by monochrome vibrations that intensely convey a profound spiritual and existential meditation.
