Exhibition "Oltre"

Francesca Gaspardis Florio's solo exhibition of paintings entitled BEYOND opens on Wednesday, October 1st and will open on Friday, October 3rd at 6:00 PM, in the presence of the artist.

The exhibition recounts the enchantment of the floating world, home to the inhabitants of the seabed, suspended between imaginary reality and fantasy. It narrates underwater choreographies and spatial fantasies in which the weight of the rational is absent: forms are expressed with lightness and color. Hues are always carefully measured to create balanced contrasts and visual magic, blending in watercolors or becoming saturated in oil paint. Reality thus evolves into dreamlike dimensions that transport the viewer to "other" worlds, where everything is possible and limitless.

Francesca is a young painter from Trieste with a passion for the visual arts. Over the years, she has pursued advanced training in oil painting, watercolor, and other techniques.
Her first solo exhibition took place in October 2020 in Gradisca d'Isonzo (GO), featuring oil paintings paired with ancient haikus. In February 2023, her second solo exhibition opened in Monfalcone (GO). She has also participated in group exhibitions in Trieste, the Region of Trieste, Florence, and at Moosburg Castle in Austria and Slovenia.
Alongside painting, Francesca creates everyday objects—bookmarks, pencil cases, bags, and shopping bags—with the belief that even the smallest gesture can enhance color and art. Her art is not industrial, but "handmade," making each object unique and unrepeatable.
The exhibition is curated by Linda Simeone, a Trieste-based entrepreneur and creator of Le Vie delle Foto, an event founded in 2011 that for over thirteen years has transformed the center of Trieste, with its public establishments and historic venues, into a massive photography exhibition. Thanks to this successful format, every year Trieste is adorned with photography and art, becoming a widespread gallery that welcomes artists from all over Italy and abroad.
