Description
From Friday 29 May 2026, the exhibition “È stato bello sognare” (It was lovely to dream), dedicated to the long and multifaceted body of work by Muggia-based artist Gianna Lampe, will be on display at the “Ugo Carà” Museum of Modern Art in Muggia. The exhibition forms part of a series of evocative solo and retrospective shows conceived in recent years to showcase the work of local artists, ranging from Muggia-based artists Fabio Balbi, Aldo Bressanutti, Ugo Carà, Proteo Hirst, Emanuela Marassi, Dante Pisani, Alan Stefanato and Villibossi, to Trieste-based artists Romolo Bertini, Giovanni Duiz and Ireneo Ravalico.
The solo exhibition presents the recent work of Gianna Lampe (Muggia, 1945) with around fifty works created in recent years; in particular, the exhibition features evocative tempera paintings and refined works on paper, such as charcoal drawings, tempera works and large-format engravings.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until Sunday 21 June 2026 during the following hours: Thursday to Saturday 10am–12pm and 5pm–7pm; Sundays and public holidays 10am–12pm.
