The BOCCHERINI STRING TRIO was formed in Berlin and from the outset received guidance and advice from Günter Pichler and Natalia Prischenpenko. In 2015, it was appointed Official Ensemble of the ECMA, studying with Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl and, in Basel, with Rainer Schmidt. Despite only being active for a few years, the Trio has already received considerable acclaim from music critics during its performances in Europe and Australia. A few months after joining the ECMA, the Trio was invited twice to the Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Mantua Festival and China. Individually, the members of the Trio Boccherini perform as soloists, chamber musicians and as first chairs in major European orchestras. They collaborate with artists such as Isserlis, Teztlaff, Hagen, Uchida, Frank, Imai, Accardo, Giuranna and Steckel. The primary aim of the Boccherini Trio is to promote the 500 works written for this instrumental ensemble, a veritable treasure trove, many of which are sadly unknown to most listeners, despite some of them being true masterpieces.
