On Saturday 24th October 2026, from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, the “Karst – A Mosaic of Life” workshop will take place in the Monte Stena area, in Val Rosandra. The meeting point will be at the little church of San Lorenzo/Jezero in the municipality of San Dorligo della Valle.
The workshop is organised by the Università del Litorale as part of the GOmini project – The hidden natural heritage of the cross-border area for younger generations – with operational support from the Estplore guides.
Together, participants will explore the karst landscape, discover how human activities have shaped it over time, and learn about its many inhabitants. With the help of digital microscopes, we will take a close look at tiny organisms and interesting details that often go unnoticed.
Participation is free, but advance registration is required via the online form on Facebook.
Once you have registered, you will receive confirmation of your booking and further information.
Places are limited.
