Description
Taste olive oil of the Bora wind,
an extra virgin olive oil with a bold character, produced
from the native Bianchera variety and shaped by the fierce gusts of the northeasterly wind. The Bora wind, with its dry and breezy climate, helps bring out the aromatic notes and natural resilience of this prized oil, a symbol of our region.
Set among the hills of San Dorligo della Valle, immersed in the Montedoro landscape, the event takes place
at the Fior Rosso Farm, which, with an olive oil-making tradition dating back to 1823, passionately carries on the culture of Trieste’s extra virgin olive oil.
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- A stroll among the olive trees, accompanied by stories about local olive cultivation;
- A guided exploration of how high-quality extra virgin olive oil is produced: from caring for the trees to pairing it with food;
- A technical tasting by the glass, to learn how to recognize aromas and flavors;
- A picnic among the olive trees, featuring selected local products.
- Relax in the green, with comfortable benches among the olive trees.
