25th edition of the Pumpkin Festival organised by the Associazione Amici del Borgo di San Martino.
PROGRAMME
Saturday 19 October 2024
Medieval life at the tavern, market and military encampment; itinerant shows through the village streets during the whole day
9. 15 a.m. - Opening of markets along the streets of the village
9.30 a.m. - Opening of the educational workshops, the small Comugnai farm and the pumpkin workshop
12. 00 - Opening of the Locanda dell'Oca where pumpkin and goose specialities will be served
2 p.m. - Historical re-enactment with the arrival of the Merchant from Venice with Marco Polo's spices and opening of the exhibition "The magic of medieval spices"
2 p.m. - Modern archery experience
2.30 p.m. - Quam Mirabilis medieval songs in San Martino Church
3 p.m. - Medieval dance lesson by the Valvasone dancers
3 p.m. - Entertainment and games for children (field behind the church)
4.30 p.m. - Arrival of Mother Abbess Rustighella of Flagonia and her retinue
6.30 p.m. - Historical procession with torchlight procession, followed by a candle dance
7 p.m. - Fire show

9.30 a.m. - Opening of the market ‘Estro in piazza’, medieval market, life in the tavern and military encampments; itinerant shows through the village streets during the whole day
9. 45 a.m. - Opening of the Pumpkin Workshop
9. 45 a.m. - Arrival of the procession of Mother Abbess Rustighella of Flagonia and her entourage.
10 a.m. - Opening of the spice exhibition
10 a.m. - Sung Mass
11 a.m. - Procession through the streets of the Borgo
11.30 a.m. - Historical re-enactment of the reading of the new Rodolario of 1344
12 noon - Opening of the Locanda dell'Oca
3 pm - Animation and games for children (field behind the church)
4.30 p.m. - Visit to the medieval market of the Mother Abbess with her retinue of nobles, ladies, knights and guards
5.30 p.m. Greeting of all groups in the square
6 p.m. - Lottery drawing
6.30 p.m. - Photographic competition award ceremony
