The stage starts from malga Kuhinja towards the nearby refuge and the path that leads to the saddle of Mount Kožljak, then continues along the south side of Krn up to the Gomilščkovo zavetišče refuge and the summit. Moving on Krn, where caves and remains of barbed wire are still clearly visible, you pass along the ridge and head to the saddle between it and Batognica. Then continue ascending along Batognica where trenches and artillery caves are well visible. Then descend towards the saddle until you reach the karst rocky plain of Laštah. From there, a path leads to Lake Krn, the largest of all the Julian Alps, on whose northern side, in November, a commemorative ceremony for the end of the First World War takes place. Leaving the lake behind, you climb towards malga Dupljie where a Hungarian cross and a cemetery are visible. From there, in a short time, you reach the refuge near the Krn Lakes, the end of the stage.
