WOP 10 SI Lokvica - Komen

We are in the heart of the front on the Karst, surrounded by a landscape that is both rocky and green. In addition to its characteristic geomorphological and naturalistic beauty, it houses, like embedded shards, monuments, plaques and memorial stones that bear witness to the passage and death of so many people in these beautiful settings, so different from the mountain landscapes of the first stages. The military railway along which the trail continues, once used to supply frontline troops, is one such relic. It stands out like a scar, guiding visitors deeper into the reality of those times—times that should never be forgotten.
