Travelling in Friuli Venezia Giulia with my pet

What are the rules for travelling on public transport with our furry friends?

The regulations for carrying animals on public transport vary from city to city and from company to company. In general, most public transport allows pets to travel, but with some restrictions. Small pets, generally those that can be carried in a bag or pet carrier, are allowed without any problems. For larger animals, you often have to buy an extra ticket and/or use a muzzle, and the animal must be kept on a lead. Some companies, such as rail operators, may also only allow pets to travel at specific times. It is always important to check the local rules, which may include restrictions during peak hours or on certain routes. In addition, the owner must also ensure their pet doesn’t disturb the other passengers and behave responsibly during the trip.
