The Rural Villages of Billerio - Venchiaredo

The area has been mentioned since 1130 along with the Castle of Prampero. Billerio appears in 1291 under the jurisdiction of the steward of Tricesimo, who maintained possession of it until the Venetian dominion.
The town is made up of numerous villages, including Bocon, Polla, Buse, Vergon, Vencjaret, and Gjal, all in panoramic positions, with buildings scattered across terraces, forming small courtyards along the street fronts. After the 1976 earthquake, many of the homes were destroyed and rebuilt with modifications. Among the remaining buildings that testify to the typical architecture, in the hamlet of Venchiaredo (Vencjaret), there is a characteristic 19th-century rural building, while in the hamlet of Foranesi, dating back to 1769, there is a gateway with stone blocks leading into the small courtyard of Casa Urli where some constructions with balconies can be seen.
