The museum is located in the hamlet of Trinco, at the site of the former elementary school. It houses objects and images of a typical rural house, with work tools used by farmers over fifty years ago. The museum was created and is still managed by the local association "Pro-Drenchia," which, starting in the 1990s, has collected traditional and obsolete objects donated by locals.
Here you can see various objects, documents, images, and tools of rural life, allowing you to trace the history of these lands from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The anthropological-ethnographic exhibition provides insight into the life and habits of the villagers in this unique linguistic-cultural island in Friuli Venezia Giulia. For enthusiasts of the Great War, there are also some artefacts and photographs related to those years. Trinco is situated at the foot of the Colovrat ridge, where the second and third Italian defensive lines passed and is now home to an open-air museum on the Great War.
