From La Maina you ascend to Monte Ruke passing by two stavoli and Monte Cavallo. You reach the Plotze plateau, at the foot of Bivera, with 3 paths back to the lake.
At the end of the village of La Maina before the bridge over Rio Mitreikenpoch you turn right downwards. You briefly follow the lake shore to ascend to the Stavoli Schbeintle and Schbont Troiero, once surrounded by meadows, now quickly reforested. A somewhat challenging climb, through a slightly exposed section, leads to Monte Cavallo of Sauris and then leveling off, to the summit of Monte Ruke. Here we find the homonymous farmstay; continue on the road to shortly reach the grassy plateau, called Plotze, south of Sauris di Sopra (Plozn), above which towers in the southeast direction the majestic alpine massif of Monte Bivera. From this plateau start three paths back to the lake.
