The footpath, in a ring-shaped planizial route, is equipped for both leisure days and small hikes. The indicated route has a total length of 3.5 km and can be divided into three shorter routes of 2.3 km, 350 m and 1 km, respectively. The route, which is grassy or dirt in places, can be hiked in an average of one hour. Rest areas with games, tables and benches make the trail usable not only for adults, but also for families, children and the elderly.
The forest is characterized by oak-harvest, a habitat of extraordinary naturalistic value. Shrubs include hawthorn, privet and elderberry.
Nearby is the embankment where it is possible to reach Bepi's scale, a traditional lagoon fishing system, and the Fraida water-scooping machine. Skirting the canal, one arrives at the church of Sant'Antonio Abate and the renowned Marianis Farm, which represents excellence throughout Italy for its organic breeding of Pezzata Rossa.
