The route covers the territories of Moruzzo, Martignacco and Fagagna, is suitable for families and walking groups of all ages and is 5.1 km long. The terrain is varied with asphalt sections in built-up areas, unpaved roads outside the towns, country paths with a minimum width of one meter and some sections with gradients of more than 8%. The route, while not difficult, is not suitable for people with reduced motor and/or sensory abilities.
At the start, near the square of Santa Margherita del Gruagno, there are several parking lots and refreshment points. Leaving the west gate of the Borgo, one proceeds on a pedestrian path toward the cemetery, continuing then on a paved road until it intersects first the "Stringher Tacoli" path and the "Troi de aghe minerâl" didactic path and then, "la Cjaminade." Proceeding to the left, along the "Cjaminade" path, we reach Borgo Lavia where the votive ancona of the "Madonna dei Mulini" reminds us of their former presence. We continue to the right along Via Bonaldo Stringher and past Casa Basaldella, also the site of one of the many mills present until the middle of the last century and no longer in existence, we reach the small bridge over the Lavia, past which after a slight climb we reach Poggio Stringher. We continue west to the paved road that leads from the cemetery of Martignacco to Moruzzo. Having traveled a few hundred meters westward, after the bridge over the Volpe stream, we turn left again on dirt roads that, crossing cultivated fields close to stable meadows and an old bressana, slowly lead us to the castle of Villalta, the destination of our journey.
