10 thousand steps of health FVG - MONTENARS

The trail runs, in a loop, along the relief located in front of the built-up area of the hamlets Isola, Bulons and Sonvilla, of the municipality of Montenars passing through the small hamlet of Plazzaris. The ring develops, on the north side, along forest roads with some modest stretches of concrete paving, to join, on the south side, the municipal road, with asphalt bottom, connecting to the hamlet Plazzaris. The loop has a total development of about 3,200 m with the option of a small detour (700 m) to reach a refreshment point represented by an agritourism. Going along the provincial road from Montenars in the direction of Flaipano, after about 1.5 km, from the village of Sonvilla, turn right, towards Plazzaris, reaching after about 100 m the rest area that represents the starting point of the trail. From here, on the right, the trail runs steadily downhill for about 950 m, which is followed by a short uphill stretch (150 m) and then resumes its descent for another 130 m, until the intersection with the road leading to the farmhouse. The track then bends to the left and continues slightly uphill for about 400 m, and, always maintaining a modest slope, reaches the hamlet of Plazzaris. From this point, the paved road crosses the tiny hamlet, passes a fountain and climbs, always with moderate gradients, to the starting point.
