10 thousand steps of health FVG - MAJANO

The route runs mostly on a moraine hill. The starting point is at the parking lot of the Susans sports field. Turn left in the direction of Cimano and follow a paved road to a first fork in the road. Turn left and continue uphill until you reach the cemetery, where the dirt path begins (take the dirt road to the left). After about 300 m a climb begins, at the end of which you reach a plateau of permanent meadows. Continuing on, you reach near an area equipped with benches, ideal for stopping, refreshment and admiring the view. With a short detour, on the right, it is possible to climb to the highest point of the trail.

Returning to the main trail, after a short descent, you come to a junction that allows you to continue either to the left, along a short loop trail, or to the right, along the trail that continues with a descent, almost straight, for about 300 m to a junction.

Turning right, one arrives at a farmhouse with a deer farm not far away while, continuing left on a paved road, one arrives at the village of San Tomaso, where the Hospitale di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme is located. Continue left through the built-up area of San Tomaso to the steps of the church and then to the cemetery. Keeping to the left, you reach a riding school and, after less than 1 km, you arrive in Susans, where there is a refreshment stand and the famous Susans Castle. From the castle, after about 500 meters, you return to the starting point.
