10 thousand steps of health FVG - LATISANA

The trail runs along the left bank of the Tagliamento River. The trail has 3 entry points: the first at the SS. Trinità church, north at the border with the municipality of Ronchis; the second near the equipped green area in Via Viola; and the third in Latisana, near the parking area adjacent to the railway bridge of the Venice-Trieste line.

It runs for a total length of about 4,500 m, between the main town Latisana and the hamlet Latisanotta, mainly on the embankment top with flat stretches characterized by different paving.

Starting from Latisana, with a path about 3,200 m long, one can reach the small church of the Holy Trinity. Starting from Latisana, with a path about 2,700 m long one can reach the green area of Via Viola. In Latisana, the path, through a ramp suitable for use by people with reduced motor skills, leads to the embankment top. From here, it continues northward, leaving on the right Sottopovolo Street, the square with the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Garibaldi and Independence Squares, and Rocca Street, hidden from view by the curtain of buildings. The route continues northward, skirting Gaspari Park, an equipped green area, and, still on the embankment top, reaches, first making a wide bend to the west, leaving the municipal stadium on the right, and then a narrower one to the north, the edge of the built-up area of Latisanotta. The path then branches off along two directions: the first continues northward, skirting the bank of the Tagliamento River, to reach the SS. Trinità church, located at the northern limit of the municipality of Latisana, bordering with the municipality of Ronchis; the second one first runs eastward along Via della Libertà, the main street of Latisanotta, and then veers southward, along Via Viola, to reach the equipped green area adjacent to the local Primary School and the related parking lot.
