A path that leads mostly along the southern slope of Monte della Piana and then passes around it on the east side reaching the Piana pass, a large grassy saddle lying between the mountain of the same name and the small sloping hilly meadows of the monte del Larice

The most evocative of the new nature trails laid out in the area and making accessible areas once only frequented by local hunters. Solitary, sunny, varied and, except for a short stretch, not tiring. From the silence of the forest, broken only by the gurgling waters of the rio Puiche, suddenly you will find yourself on a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the entire Valle del Sole and the mountains that surround it the south. And there's more. A little further on is an unusual, flat secluded little valley, the undisputed kingdom of the marmots, which precedes the pass itself where there is a table with benches and particularly beautiful views towards the Olbe plateau, monte Ferro, on the Righile pinnacles, Chiadènis and even the distant Antelao.
This hike can be considered in itself a destination for the uniqueness of the environments that it crosses, but can also be a starting point for other excursions including monte della Piana from the east (see itinerary n. 22), rifugio 2000 (see below) and the lakes of Olbe (see itinerary n. 25 in the Walking section).
