The Intermunicipal Park of the Carnic Hills is included in the mountain district of
Carnia and is located in the area between the confluence of the Degano stream and the
Tagliamento River.
The Park takes its name from the gentleness of its relief, characterized by sunny hills covered with meadows and forests. It comprises about 1,907 hectares divided among the municipalities of
Enemonzo,
Lauco,
Raveo and
Villa Santina.
It is an ideal place for cultural and nature excursions, suitable for visitors of all ages. Within it there is a network of trails leading to places of interest offering breathtaking views and picturesque scenery.
In order to admire in all its beauty the area of the Carnic Hills Park,
Friuli Venezia Giulia's first mountain platform has been built, overlooking
Villa Santina, the Tagliamento Valley and part of the Degano Valley.
