The wide grassy saddle interposed between the of the eastern belly of the Creta Forata and the western one of Mount Cimon. It is not used as a crossing point since the southern side, facing the valley Pesarina, is a succession of steep cliffs and meadows without a path.

This suggestion, sunny and not tiring, really deserves a little consideration because you will find yourself in an extremely isolated, wild, and lonely valley along, another of the most pristine in the area, where you seem to be in a primitive world where no one ever passes except birds and animals. For a while you will also be able to live the pleasure of adventure because there is neither path nor signposts. From the pass there are beautiful views of the valley of Sappada and the mountains that encircle it to the north as well as those of the val Comelico, but especially those of the val Pesarina, the Carnic Alps and the distant Julian Alps. There is also a pleasant surprise. In the upper part of the valley you will come across a horizontal slit in the ground, a kind of small underground cave that inside houses perennial snow, a sort of "micro-glacier"!
