The hill is a typical green summit that dominates the Cima Sappada plain, bordered to the north by the haystacks of Plotzn and to the south by the mouth of the Val Degano. The shelter, restored in recent years, stands almost at the summit, along with a statue of the Virgin.

The route is interesting, despite the rather low altitude, since it leads to one of the best panoramas. The view is very beautiful and includes the entire Valle del Sole, the Siera groups, the Creta Forata, the Cimon and the uninterrupted expanse of fir trees of the Longrone forest. The walk is simple, short, not at all strenuous, perfect for those who want to enjoy an excellent view without getting up too early in the morning and without needing any training. The current route, a broad and rather monotonous cart track, only partly retraces the original one, a delightful path that climbed gently into the forest.
