After 23 years, Tarvisio will have the special honor of hosting the Junior World Championships for the second time.
The competitions will take place both on the famous Di Prampero slope, which has already been the scene for many national and international winter sports events, such as:
- FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships 2002
- Winter Universiade 2003
- Women's Ski World Cup 2007 - 2009 - 2011
- Women’s and Men’s European Cup from 2002 to present days (Jan 2024)
- EYOF2023 - European Youth Olympic Festival 2023
And on the technical Priesnig B slope.
The first edition of the FIS Alpine Junior World Championships was held in March 1982 in the French resort of Auron.
Since then, the editions have been held annually, and here are some of the most recent ones:
- 2019 - Val di Fassa, Italy
- 2020 - Narvik, Norway
- 2021 - Bansko, Bulgaria
- 2022 - Panorama, Canada
- 2023 - St Anton am Arlberg, Austria
The last edition in 2024 was held in the Portes du Soleil - Haute Savoie (France) and saw the participation of 60 nations and 500 athletes, including the Italian skier Max Perathoner from Val Gardena, who was awarded the title of SG Junior World Champion.
