More than 350 athletes from 60 nations will compete at the Alpine Skiing Junior World Championships scheduled from February 24 to March 6 2025. The event is promoted by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and with PromoTurismoFVG responsible for planning and organising the event, in collaboration with the local ski clubs and the support of the Municipality of Tarvisio.
The first training sessions are scheduled on the first two days, February 24 and 25. The official start of the Championships will be marked by the opening ceremony scheduled for Wednesday February 26 at 7 p.m. in Piazza Unità d'Italia in Tarvisio, which has been renamed "Medal Plaza" for the event. Every evening, from February 27 to March 5, the first three classified in the individual disciplines will be welcomed for the award ceremonies and the presentation of medals. On the closing day of March 6, the closing event will be staged, after the last men's slalom, at the “Priesnig B” slope.
The “Ski Room” will be made available to the teams in the indoor spaces of the Tennis Club, the Sports Centre will support the athletic preparation and physiotherapy sessions; the “Main Race Office”, the “Accreditation Centre” and the “Anti-doping Centre” will be located in via Priesnig, while the “Media Centre” is going to be set up in the premises of the Hotel Nevada.

On the occasion of the FIS Autumn Meetings 2024 in Zurich, Iacopo Mestroni, CEO of PromoTurismoFVG, officially presented

JWSC Tarvisio 2025_ the 44th edition of FIS Alpine Junior World Championships to be held in Tarvisio.
From 24.02.2025 to 06.03.2025, more than 60 nations from all continents will attend the most important Junior Event in International Alpine Skiing.
The best international athletes aged between 15 and 20, including those who have already made their Ski World Cup debut, will compete for the title in 6 disciplines of alpine skiing, Downhill and Super-G, as well as technical disciplines such as Giant Slalom and Slalom, and team disciplines (such as Parallel and Combined).
The Organising Committee of PromoTurismoFVG is responsible for planning and organising the event, in collaboration with local ski clubs and with the support of the Municipality of Tarvisio.
The entire Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the institutional and private operators involved are preparing to welcome the participating nations with their athletes and supporters.
