Originally from the Gironde, Cabernet Franc has become increasingly popular in the Region since the early 19th century. Today it is the second most widespread black grape variety in Friuli. Its colour is ruby red with violet reflections and its bouquet is herbaceous and vinous. On the palate it is full and tannic, lively and energetic, perfecting itself with age. Versatile in combination, it embraces cured meats to game dishes with its potential for evolution.
