Castello di Spessa

Nestled among the vineyards, the Castello di Spessa agricultural estate is a historic property in Capriva del Friuli, in the Collio area. It comprises a winery and a historic residence surrounded by a centuries-old park, and offers a spa, accommodation, restaurants and a golf course. There are over 100 hectares under vine, 28 in the Collio area and 70 in the Isonzo area.  

At Castello di Spessa, upon reservation, you can visit the medieval ageing cellars, taste the estate's wines and stay in the resort. The one-of-a-kind ageing cellars are located under the manor house and consist of two levels; the first level dates back to the Middle Ages, while the second, located some 18 metres below ground, was carved out of a military bunker. The wine-making cellar, which has undergone major investments in the last three years, is located in Cormons.

You can also relax on the 18-hole golf course and at the Vinum SPA, a wellness centre centred on wine and the beneficial properties of grapes, covering 2000 square metres of total well-being. At the SPA, all treatments and cosmetics exploit the beneficial properties of the grapes, wine, honey and grappa produced in the estate, and a wide range of wellness services are available, both in the indoor area and in the Summer Club.

Inside the Resort, La Tavernetta al Castello offers gourmand cuisine and Hosteria del Castello offers local cuisine, while the Bistrot Il Gusto di Casanova is perfect for relaxing and tasting the estate's wines.
