The Chiarsó Stream (the Paularo section)

The Chiarsó stream in the area of Paularo is a popular destination for fly fishing and lure fishing (spinning).

It flows through the enchanting town nestled in the d'Incarojo Valley, rich in traditions and natural beauty to be discovered. A place where visitors can plunge into history with religious sites such as the Church of the Martyrs of Saint Vito, Saint Modesto and Saint Crescenza with its bell tower overlooking the stream, as well as historic buildings such as Vaselio-Calice Palace, and where they can enjoy the typical cuisine in one of the local restaurants or cafés at a slow and relaxing pace.

The stream is easily accessible. The presence of marble trout, some of which grow to be very large, makes it one of the most popular fishing spots. There are two catch-and-release beats: The first starts from the dam at the village of Rio and ends at the bridge at the entrance to the town (which is called Ponte di Ferro, or the Steel Bridge). The second runs from the Rinc Bridge to the Cedarchis Bridge.
