The
dock of Porto Vecchio is located in the town of
Lignano Sabbiadoro. The town is located 18 km from the A4 Venice-Trieste Latisana exit along A23 Tarvisio-Venice and 65 km from the
airport of Ronchi dei Legionari. The Porto Vecchio dock is accessible along the canal entrance for about 1 mile from the green light buoy, then turning left onto a channel indicated by two mooring posts and bordered by an artificial reef on the left and on the right by mooring posts.
With a depth of 1.5 to 2.5 m and a sandy bottom on the quay,
the Porto Vecchio dock can accommodate as much as 430 boats up to 16 m long. The dock consists of 22 floating docks provided with special "fingers" equipped with columns for the delivery of fresh water and electricity. Access time is non-stop, docking is easy even if entrance is not recommended under strong sirocco winds.
