It seems that the first irrigation channels serving people and agriculture were dug during Roman centuriations, to supply water to a fertile but dry territory. At the time of the Patriarchs of Aquileia, waters from the Torre stream reached Udine and Cividale, also allowing the operation of grinding, saw, and hammer mills. The channels have since been widened and better regulated and still have some mills. From Udine, you cycle towards Molin Novo, continuing on a hiking and natural route through the countryside and small villages. The itinerary is well marked and on your bicycle you continue towards Rizzolo and pass Reana del Rojale. From here you join, in the locality of Morena, the Alpe Adria FVG 1 cycle route. Passing Tavagnacco and Feletto Umberto, you cross the urban park of the Cormor stream, a suitable place for a green stop before returning to Udine.
