Route that follows the eastern border of FVG, from the alpine valleys to the vineyards of the Colli Orientali and Collio and reaches Gorizia and Nova Gorica, European Capitals of Culture 2025.
The route combines the first part of the Alpe Adria cycling path FVG1 and the second half of the Pedemontana cycling path FVG3. Along the route at every corner, nature and food and wine are reasons for a stop and relaxation. From Tarvisio you cycle on the track of the old railway and cross the villages of the alpine valleys before passing through the hillside towns such as Tarcento and Cividale del Friuli, a UNESCO site for the Lombard era testimonies, and Cormons in an alternation of varied architectures. The food and wine offer is certainly one of the strong points of this route: from typical mountain dishes with Austrian influences to Friulian and Slavic-influenced ones.
In Cividale del Friuli it is possible to opt for the vineyard variant (FVG 3/d) thus passing through the land of Schiopettino and Ribolla Gialla wine without forgetting the other gems of the wineries to taste with your travel companions at the end of the day.
Cividale del Friuli is connected with Udine by the Udine-Cividale railway train where it is possible to transport bicycles.

It is possible to opt for the vineyard variant (C305) southbound to Cormons via Dolegna del Collio and Corno di Rosazzo.
