A cyclo-cultural route revolving around Casarsa della Delizia, the place where Pierpaolo Pasolini's first literary and artistic experiences blossomed.
The bike tour allows you to touch almost all the places where Pasolini lived and wrote: the house where he was born in Casarsa, now the headquarters of the Centro Studi Pasoliniani (here you can request a specialized guide), and the church of Santa Croce, where the 1499 engraving from which he took the inspiration for the play in Friulan "I Turcs tal Friûl" is kept. After the church we reach the cemetery of Casarsa where his grave is located next to that of his mother. The route continues in the direction of Versuta, where there is the frescoed church of St. Anthony Abbot; near the church you can see the well-known fountain sung in one of his poems in Friulian. San Giovanni di Casarsa is the meeting place of Friulian intellectuals belonging to the "Academiuta di lenga furlana," and under the communal loggia Pasolini used to post political posters. This itinerary is intentionally short to allow those who want to get to know this great intellectual to stop and see, know and better understand his work and cultural commitment.
Circular route totally on paved and flat road for mixed use.
