In Marano Lagunare, fishing is still a living tradition, and among the local specialties, fasolari clams stand out, celebrated every August with a dedicated festival. The surrounding area produces Friuli Annia DOC wines. The prized white truffle grows in the woods and is the star of the Muzzana del Turgnano Truffle Fair.

In the summer, the trail can be reached by boat from Lignano. The rest of the year, the trail can be reached from the San Giorgio di Nogaro train station by following the FVG2 Adriatic Sea Bike Path (EuroVelo 8) for 5 km.Localization
