Historic cultural ring of Middle Friuli (R070)

From Codroipo you pedal to Villa Manin, one of the most important monumental complexes in Friuli Venezia Giulia, surrounded by wide green spaces and evidence of the great season of noble villas in the Friulian plain. Passing through Bertiolo, Talmassons and Flumignano, you pedal through the Friulian countryside, among irrigation ditches, vineyards and ancient noble residences. Arriving in Ariis, the village on the Stella River captivates with its river landscape and elegant rural villas that testify to the agricultural prosperity of the past. From Flambruzzo you reach Rivignano, where you encounter other historic patrician residences and agricultural courts. The route continues to Sella, Varmo, Santa Marizza, Gradiscutta and Bugnins, among small villages with authentic charm and numerous villas scattered across the plain. From San Vidotto you finally return to Codroipo along quiet country roads, immersed in a landscape that recounts centuries of rural history, landed nobility and Friulian traditions.
