A route that goes from Codroipo across the Friulian countryside towards the sea. The ride ends in fact at Lignano Sabbiadoro, where the Tagliamento river meets the Adriatic.
Route
The route starts in Codroipo, crosses San Michele al Tagliamento, a picturesque village along the Tagliamento River, and Pertegada, immersing itself in the peaceful Friulian countryside. Heading west, it reaches Lignano, a renowned seaside resort, with its golden beaches and lively promenade. From here, the route continues along the coastal cycling path until reaching the suggestive Punta Tagliamento, where the river meets the Adriatic. This last section offers not only a panoramic view of the Tagliamento estuary, but also the opportunity to enjoy the sea breeze and appreciate the unspoiled nature of the area. It is recommended to explore the picturesque center of Lignano and to enjoy the local food and wine specialties.

Once in Lignano, it is recommended to refresh yourself with a good seafood dish.
For instance, a plate of spaghetti with clams accompanied by a good Friulian white wine is advised.
Pay attention in non-cycling sections with mixed traffic, especially at the entrance to Lignano, where traffic can be heavier.

The route starts in Codroipo, then heads northeast. It crosses rural landscapes dotted with green fields and small villages before reaching San Michele al Tagliamento. It continues north to reach Pertegada. The route continues northwest to arrive in Lignano, at Punta Tagliamento, where the river and the Adriatic Sea meet.

To reach Codroipo by highway, you can follow these general directions, considering the closest highway is the A23:
Take the A23 highway eastbound (following the road signs).
Continue on the A23 until the exit that leads you to Codroipo. The specific exits will depend on the direction you are coming from. Check road signs or use a GPS navigator to find the right exit.
