A ring between ancient villages, the crystal-clear waters of the Livenza River and the green of the Pordenone foothills.
Itinerary:
The itinerary starts in Sacile and continues in the direction of Caneva where you can admire the medieval castle. Before reaching Polcenigo, you turn left to go to the stupendous spring of La Santissima. You continue and pedal towards Polcenigo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. This area rich in springs and streams is regenerating for body and mind. Also along the route, the pile-dwelling site of Palù di Livenza, declared a UNESCO heritage site and now enjoyable from a naturalistic point of view, is worth a visit. The loop ends with a return to Sacile.
Food & wine:
Caneva is the home of Figo Moro, the fig that needs no treatment and is eaten with its peel! For refreshment we suggest a stop at one of the wineries along the route, you can taste Friuli Grave DOC wines such as the red Refosco dal peduncolo rosso or the white Friulano.
