A ride along the Venetian coast among the most popular seaside resorts of the Upper Adriatic coast.
This itinerary, which connects the stages Venice-Caorle and Caorle-Lignano of the Adriatic Sea Cycle Route, starts at Punta Sabbioni where you say goodbye to the city of Venice and head towards Jesolo. You cycle along the Venetian coast where you find the main seaside resorts of the region: Jesolo, Caorle, and Bibione. After passing the Bibione Lighthouse, the mouth of the Tagliamento River opens up, a river that acts as a natural border between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. During the summer months, the bike-boat service, connecting Bibione to Lignano Sabbiadoro, allows cyclists to enjoy the view of the river mouth, the sea on the horizon, and the typical riverbank vegetation. After crossing the river, you reach the Marina Uno tourist port, from where you take the city cycle paths that cross Lignano Riviera and Lignano Pineta up to Lignano Sabbiadoro. A stop is a must in one of the main seaside tourist destinations of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
