Simple loop hike along path the Truoi dal Von in Forni di Sopra in the presence of the Friulian Dolomites.
From the Santaviela parking lot (in front of the Varmost chairlift station), go up the forest track at the bottom of the valley following the Tagliamento upstream to the Davaras bridge, where you take the road to the Giaf refuge and reach the typical recently restored 19th-century lime kiln. Shortly after in the Borsaia locality, cross the stream and go up the Lavinal dal Ors valley along the cart track to the last large bridleway that you cross upstream where the Truoi dal Von begins.
Going up the slope, you encounter the remains of a first charcoal pile and then the first vantage point with a wide view of the Lavinal screes (with ancient and recent consolidation works), Forcella Scodavacca and Gruppo del Cridola. It continues at the edge of the remains of a second charcoal pile, through a mixed forest of beech and fir until it goes over the Forcella dei Tuis to stop, a little further on the highest observation point of the route overlooking the slopes of Varmost, Malga Tragonia and Gruppo del Tiarfin. The path, now descending, then leads to the third belvedere (from which you can admire the Cridola and Monfalconi groups), and the fourth (an open balcony over the Fornese village and the upper Tagliamento Valley). A little further on, you reach the characteristic Clap dal Von and the last vantage point on Mount Cimacuta. Descend again through the forest to the Pocagneit huts, crossing dolines and scree until you enter the Clapòns (boulders) of Soraruoi.
Reaching the forest track, you cross it and take the path below; you reach the Puont (bridge) dal Sirai, by which you cross the Tagliamento and return to the Santaviela parking lot.
