The route, suitable for everyone, develops near the village of Andreis and allows you to visit three significant places in this area: the avifauna area of the Park, with its wounded birds of prey; the small church of San Daniele, a panoramic viewpoint over the entire valley; and the valley of the Susaibes stream , a geosite of regional interest.
From the town square follow the signs to theAvifauna Area, located on the edge of the village, where some wounded birds of prey can be observed. To the side of the aviaries starts the path (signpost arrow) that climbs gently up a hill. In the first part you can see the village of Andreis, surrounded by meadows (partly terraced), once fields and vegetable gardens cultivated by its inhabitants. Reaching the top of the hill, the trail follows the ridge through a mixed forest where beech, hornbeam and ash trees are present. Some areas once used for mowing and haymaking are now occupied by hazel. At the end of one of these the path crosses a flight of steps; continue uphill and in a few minutes you reach the small church of San Daniele (highest point of the trail). From the little church the view sweeps over the entire valley dominated to the northeast by the peak of Mount Raut. Go all the way back down the steps and continue on a dirt road to a junction (signpost arrow). Turn left onto a path that leads to the hamlet of Sottanzas. Here, near a panel with information about the geosite, take a lane that, downhill, leads to the bed of the Susaibes stream. The environment is highly suggestive with a landscape dominated by rocky elements. Diffuse erosion phenomena can be observed on extremely fractured and faulted rocks due to the presence of an overthrust of regional interest. Returning to Sottanzas and following the paved road downhill, you reach the main roadway. Turn right, uphill, toward Andreis, and after a few meters turn left onto the bike path that leads to locality Cordata (abandoned houses). Continuing, you reach a final fork where, taking a right, you climb a short flight of steps to the square of Andreis.
