This easy hike, starting from the heart of Artegna, allows you to admire the Friulian morainic amphitheatre and the slopes of the Julian Pre-Alps along some old paved paths, evidence of the ancient link between man and the environment.
Step by step, one crosses luxuriant natural environments, such as the chestnut groves on the northern slope, and on the summit ridge it is possible to come across some works relating to the Great War. In fact, in the early 1900s, several artillery positions were set up on Faeit and nearby Campeon, forming part of the Piazzaforte del Medio Tagliamento, a defensive system envisaged by the Italian army.
Along the way, it will also be possible to see the beautiful washhouse of Borgo Monte, used in times gone by for washing clothes, and a wonderful view of Rovistagno Castle, dominating the small valley of the Orvenco torrent.

Directions
Raggiunta Artegna attraverso la SS 13 si oltrepassa il centro cittadino seguendo le indicazioni per Montenars. Alla rotonda successiva ci si mantiene a destra, in direzione di Borgo Monte, si raggiunge Piazza Marnico e si imbocca Via Monte girando immediatamente a destra dove si trova il parcheggio, punto di partenza e di arrivo.
