A route that combines interesting naturalistic and anthropic aspects.
The departure is from the Sella Chianzutan pass, between the Tagliamento and Arzino valleys. The climb ascends the wooded slopes of the Colle dei Larici near the route of the old cableway with which the blocks of the precious red Verzenignis marble descended to the valley from the upper quarry.
After reaching the nearby peak at an altitude of 1779m, we return along the same route to descend to the saddle between Colle dei Larici and Lovinzola. The nearby quarry is worth a visit.
The loop closes by passing through the tunnel on the service road to the quarry, along the CAI 809 path that leads back to Sella Chianzutan by descending the southern slope of the mountain. The short diversions to the Ric. Presoldon, a structure that is always open as a bivouac and offers a remarkable panoramic viewpoint.
Author’s recommendation
It is possible to avoid the summit by taking advantage of the short tunnel near the cable car; in this way, you can directly reach the service road to the quarry.

The marble quarry, in the summer months, is an open work site and entry is forbidden to non-experts due to objective dangers (e.g. the use of explosive charges to break up the blocks).
