The first trail of its kind in FVG, the Foresters' Trail recovers ancient routes on the side of the Silisia Valley overlooking Lake Cà Selva to reach two shelters.
From Panuch (651 m, parking lot) begins the Sentiero dei Forestali (Foresters' Trail): the first operation of its kind in Friuli Venezia Giulia, it is a didactic itinerary created by the Foresters' Corps by recovering segments of the very dense network of trails and paths that made this slope, now abandoned, alive.
From Panuch you first reach the ruins of Casera Ropa (979 mslm), first following the comfortable forestry in the woods, then the path, then again a grassy forestry; the path is always well marked (signs, CAI markings and Forestry Corps markings). From here we face the 400 meters to Casera Salincheit (1356 mslm), a beautiful shelter that maintains its traditional character.
In about 20 minutes we pass to Casera Valine Alta (1344 mslm) following a connecting track, also a recently renovated shelter.
We fortify the forest service road to the casera and follow the Trail signs to an elevation of 900 m, there where we rejoin the initial section.
