From Rifugio Calvi at 2164 m, follow CAI path 132 uphill to Passo Sesis at 2312 m. From the pass, descend along Val Fleons (CAI path 140), touching Casera Fleons di sopra to Casera Fleons di sotto at 1571 m. Following CAI path no. 403, continue on to Casera Sissanis di sotto and from here climb entirely (CAI path no. 142) up the Vallone di Sissanis to Sella Sissanis. Continuing at high altitude, in view of Lago di Bordaglia (CAI signs 142a and 403) you reach the Giramondo Pass at 2005 m and enter Austria. From the pass, descend to the Wolayer Alm at 1708 m and follow a dirt road uphill to the Wolayerseehütte on the shore of Lake Volaia. After crossing the nearby Volaia Pass at 1970 m, the Lambertenghi-Romanin hut at 1955 m is soon reached.
