Coming from Udine take the S.S. 13 Pontebbana northbound. Follow the signs for Lago dei Tre Comuni (second traffic light at Campagnola). Cross the Braulins bridge over the Tagliamento river and follow Provincial Road 36 to the center of Bordano.
The circular route can be started from several points as indicated by the red and yellow signs.
The starting point of this itinerary is the parking lot near the Monte Festa - Monte San Simeone junction. Continue along the forest road towards Monte Festa and at the junction take the right onto the CAI 838 trail that leads to the center of Interneppo. From the village follow the signs for the "Butterfly Trail".
