The loop trail can be taken from different points: the route presented starts from the Monte Festa-San Simeone junction .
It continues left toward Monte Festa, taking the paved road surrounded by forest. Along the way, the hiker is guided by several explanatory signs that elaborate on the presence of butterfly species typical of the area.
At the junction, one continues by taking CAI 838 to the left in the direction of Interneppo and enters the forest and continues downhill. From here the view is lost in the panorama from the surrounding reliefs to Lago dei Tre Comuni and the nearby Pieve di Cesclans.
It then descends to the left and reaches the built-up area of Interneppo. From the municipal drinking fountain, continue left (signposted Sentiero delle Farfalle) and after approx. 200m take Via Colle della Croce. At the fork, go up to the left and reach SP36. Cross the road and you will find the sign and the trail goes up and rejoins the parking lot at the fork (starting point).
