The first part of the route climbs the southern slopes of the La Bernadia plateau, with several panoramic views of the Tarcento hills and the Friulian plain. Interesting are the remains of constructions dating back to the First World War period that can be found on Mount Pocivalo and Mount Lonza, where the lighthouse dedicated to the Brigata Alpina Julia, which is inextricably linked to Friuli Venezia Giulia, stands out. The entire route takes place amidst dolines and karst phenomena of undoubted naturalistic interest, and the unbelievable cavern of the Vigant Abyss, which you can visit in the second part of the route, is an example of this truly incredible hypogean world (the first part of this enormous cavern can be visited along an easy route).
On the way back to the valley, you pass through two silent villages, spaces where man and nature have coexisted since ancient times.
The route can be interrupted at the fort of M. Lonza, returning to the starting point along the asphalt road that leads back to the church of Sedilis with 5 hairpin bends.
