A route that accompanies you inside splendid bucolic mid-mountain environments.

On reaching the wide meadowy esplanade in the Cjasal locality, it is possible to park the vehicle at the edge of the woods and walk along a convenient asphalted road, reaching the rural agglomeration of the stavoli di Luvieis. The view opens out onto Col Gentile and sweeps over the surrounding woods as far as the Pani basin.

A steady climb leads through meadows and woods to Paradis, the highest point of the route.

After descending on a road with low vehicle traffic, you reach Valdie with its small church. Numerous barns accompany you towards Monte Sorantri, on a wide path. Near the summit there is a magnificent viewpoint over the Carnic hills and the remains of a Roman settlement.

One descends to the Mulignon waterfall along a mule track, passing near some barns.

Back to the Luvieis stavoli (shelters), the ring comes to an end.

    Author’s recommendation

A break at the little church in Valdie and at the viewpoint of Monte Sorantri is highly recommended.

    Directions

It is possible to reach the starting point by following the S.R. 355 of Val Degano from Villa Santina in the direction of Ovaro. Follow on the left the indications for the village of Muina (you have to cross the Degano river on a small bridge) and, once in the town center, take the road on the left (indications for loc. Cercenat) entering the village. The road goes up into the woods and after two hairpin bends care should be taken to turn right just before the village of Cercenat, there are signs for Valdie - Pani on site. Go up along the only road present passing the hamlet of the "Stavoli di Mont" and after a short descent into the woods you come out in the large meadow where you can park on the left.

    Parking

Small clearing on the left, at the beginning of the large meadow in Cjasal locality.
