Padre David Maria Turoldo’s Birthplace

The house where Father Turoldo was born, built around mid-XVIII century, presents material relating to the poetic, literary and religious works of the friar.

Typical example of the rural age in Friuli, the Father Turoldo's birthplace is located inside of a courtyard surrounded by rural and farm buildings.

The portico, enriched by two entrance doors, leads to the house with the kitchen on the ground floor, two simple and narrow bedrooms on the first floor and the attic which was a storeroom and is now used as a conference hall and hosts a small library.

The walls are in stones from the Tagliamento river mixed with fragments of brickwork.
