Simple hike in Attimis in the Torre Valleys. Itinerary reaching from the hamlet Faris (Attimis) to the meastoso Castle of Partistagno with panoramic views of the hamlet.
Simple hike on a forest road, which starts from Borgo Faris (Attimis) and goes up to Partistagno Castle. From Borgo di Faris you can see the castle towering in the woods.
You reach the "Ai Faris" farmhouse and, after passing it, climb up to the Clarisse Sacramentine Monastery. After a series of hairpin bends on an asphalt road, you reach the parking lot where you can leave your car. You then continue on the road that climbs and enters the woods. The route has no changes of road until the clearing below the castle.
The medieval complex appears impressive: it is possible to learn more about its history and remains through various explanatory panels located outside the buildings. In addition to the central core there are also the tower and the small church of St. Oswald.
You return on the same trail or you can take the path following the sign from the square underneath which descends from the opposite direction and reaches Borgo Faris, closing the trail in a loop.
It is possible to visit the castle; see the Museo Attimis website for opening hours and guided tours.

It is suggested that you park your car in the parking lot downstream on Cividale Street (marked parking lot with drinking fountain and picnic area) or as you pass the agritourism and go up toward the monastery you will cross a parking lot on the right.
Partistagno Castle is a medieval complex of late Gothic and early medieval origins was probably founded in the 11th century by the noble Bavarian Moosburg family. The fortified settlement consists of an older nucleus displaced on the summit portion of the relief, where the keep tower, the discovery of the lordly Domus, and the church of St. Oswald with its frescoed apse and typical mullioned windows with two lights are noted.
