The Museum of Shipbuilding in Monfalcone

Monfalcone is considered the city of cruise ships. This museum illustrates the history of the shipyard through objects, models and a sensory tunnel where the typical sounds are reproduced, a simulator and other multimedia aids and photographs. But there is no shortage of works of art such as the rediscovered paintings that Vito Timmel painted for the theatre of Panzano, the district in which the shipyard is located. We can also admire a nine-metre embroidered panel designed by Zoran Muši? for the Motonave Augustus in 1951 and, until 30 March, the exhibition "Marcello Mascherini, sculptor of transatlantic liners".
