The Plan de Spadovai is a broad plateau from where several mule tracks depart and lead to the surrounding peaks and where you can also see the remnants of some artillery positions. During the war, in fact, this area was chosen by the Italians as a rear line to support the troops on the frontline, in particular on the mountains of Jôf di Somdogna and Jôf di Miezegnot.
Near the woods upstream of the country farm, you can also see the remains of a military Alpine village and the Chapel of the Gemona Battalion, which was built in 1916 and has been restored by the National Alpine Corps Association of Chiusaforte and the mosaic school of Spilimbergo. Built in a classic style with a simple colonnade on the entrance, its floor is decorated with a large mosaic. A Mass in memory of the Gemona Battalion and all soldiers who died is held here on the last Sunday of July each year.
